When decorate an aquariumIt is the personality of each one that influences it as you usually decorate it to your liking, creating a special habitat for them but, to your aesthetic. And although it is not bad, you have to take into account the fish that you are going to have (for example, there are fish that like to hide in the plants and if you put them in the corners they will not be able to get in, or worse, they will tear them off off the ground and knock down).
When decorating, you have to follow a series of steps so as not to make mistakes or make mistakes that later, once full, will bother us a lot, even more if we can't fix it. The first thing that is usually put in aquariums are the stones as base. These stones I recommend that you do not make them many shapes because later, when you pour water, they will move (even if you pour it slowly, so they will be as they please).
There are many colors and textures. I have used normal aquarium stones (brown, white, etc.) that become rough to the touch and, as time goes by, they get smaller. These are the ones that have given me the best results for the fish because the colored stones are not as functional as the previous ones (especially in terms of food, remains, etc.).
After placing the stones you have to place the floors. I recommend that, whether they are natural or artificial plants, you make a hole in the stones and bury them a little because some fish, when swimming, can throw them away and if they are constrained with the stones it will be more difficult, not impossible. Many what they do is place the largest ones on a wall and then forward creating small parts of vegetation.
Finally, there would be the decorative objects (boats, vessels, chests, etc.). There are a lot of accessories but you have to be careful not to overload the bottom (fish need it, not toys). I think that with one or two small objects the aquarium would be well decorated.
You also have to take into account the space of the aquarium. If this is very large then you can put more decoration but if it is small, everything you put will be a limitation for the fish itself.
